Here’s a bunch of other ideas that are a bit older now, but I still like.
Unicef - Say No To Naff
Unicef’s regular Christmas push was all to get people to swap the presents you’d normally get people for gifts that would do some good in third world countries. The idea was a campaign of hate towards all the crap filler presents we all get, and let people know to give some presents that did some good instead.
PlayStation - Resistance: Retribution
PlayStation needed game influencers to take notice of their new PSP game to report about it. The game was all about a secret alien race in an alternate WWII timeline. We made a direct mail pack that made the influencers to a PH level test before and after playing the game. And unfortunately for all of them, signed showed they had been infected after playing……
PaperPlus - 30 Years in 30 words
Much like Waterstones in the UK, PaperPlus is New Zealand’s leading book store, and they were celebrating 30 years of business. So we decided to play into our audience’s love of books with a little game. We took well known books and turned their pages into 30 words on bus shelters that summed that book up completely. Creating a little fun for the audience to figure out which book we were talking about and celebrating.
